Spring Salmon fishing on the Rouge River is hot right now. . . . or so they say. I have been fortunate enough to have had several meals of that wonderful tasting fish, so someone is catching them. Jock took me out this morning and we joined a hog line. That is a row of boats anchored in the fast running river waters angling for one of those 40 pound spring Chinook. Even though we did not get a bite the weather was beautiful and the company fun. Will I try again? Oh yeah I really want to land one of those monsters.

Hog Lines
Spring Salmon fishing on the Rouge River is hot right now. . . . or so they say. I have been fortunate enough to have had several meals of that wonderful tasting fish, so someone is catching them. Jock took me out this morning and we joined a hog line. That is a row of boats anchored in the fast running river waters angling for one of those 40 pound spring Chinook. Even though we did not get a bite the weather was beautiful and the company fun. Will I try again? Oh yeah I really want to land one of those monsters.
