Springtime is here and Saturday found us at the well stocked and beautiful Laird Lake. With snow still on the ground and rain falling, heavily at times, trees down and rock slides around many turns in the road, we forged on to catch our dinner. Never have I had such quick and easy time catching my limit of fish. We had 10 tasty little trout for the frying pan before 10:00 in the morning. It was just too easy. So tomorrow we are off to the Rouge River to try and catch one of those feisty Springer Salmons. Storm what storm? Doesn't seem to slow this guy down. I am off to find some rain gear. Stay tuned . . .
