Local Theater

Local Theater is alive and well in small town Harbor Oregon. The Legend of Molly Mallone played last night as a Humane Society fund raiser. A melodrama complete with the villain (boo, Hiss) and the fair maiden (awww) and the hero (cheer, applause) We were given popcorn - not to eat to throw! Molly Malone, Dublin's most famous fishmonger, is a chaste maiden to some and "the tart with the cart" to others. It was very cute and well done by our local performers (many of whom I recognize from the neighborhood) My mother could lead the sing alongs as she knew all the words to the old Irish Ballads and sang along unabashed. Credit to those who can get out there and perform. Support your local theater. It truly is a treat.
