Hurricane Emma

Hurricane Emma hits the coast. More precisely, my back yard. The energy of an adolescent Golden Retriever is not to be underestimated. Em just can't be left alone for long. It is as though she multiplies or invites her friends to party in the yard. After a few hours out today I came home to find the storm of Em had hit. The pure gale force that is Emma tore through the yard leaving uprooted trees and plants. The big tarp from the wood pile had been dragged to the other side of the yard and grommets chewed off. Little blue pieces of an innocent tarp littered the area mixed with little black rubber pieces chewed from an unsuspecting 20 foot soaker hose. Wood was scattered around and chewed into kindling size. Last week when she hit, a plastic owl was chewed to oblivion and a hard round eye swallowed only to be painfully regurgitated the next day. It's going to be a long winter. Batten down the hatches here comes Emma!
