We went to support the Native American People that live in Agness Oregon. The bulk of the festivities, drum groups and dances and a potluck, took place on a soggy Saturday - we missed all that but we did get to see the canoe race. Two canoes, carved from the same tree, paddled through a strong Rouge River current. The lagger hitched a ride with Jerry's Rouge Jet boat that was passing by. I am told that is not cheating but using all available resources - the native way. Great people, great fun, great day.
