The trickster at work.

Yesterday was a bad day. Pouring rain, I went out to the garage to pack up the remnants of the big community yard sale (my small part anyway) for donation to a local charity. My six month old golden retriever went into the yard running and splashing through the wet grass. Oblivious to anything other than what I was doing I left Emma to play later realizing she was no where near. She had opened the door to the house and ran amok throughout leaving mud everywhere. My hard wood floors streaked with dark mud, the dining and kitchen floor thick with black goo. My couch and bed were decorated with large puppy prints. What as mess. After cleaning that up I got back to work. Later, I picked up my mother to help by packing up what she wanted to keep and box the rest. I walked out to the Jeep with a box of vintage ceramic dishes and figurines only to have the bottom drop out and everything crashed on the driveway. And that was just the beginning of my day.

Mercury the wise communicator and universal trickster is in retrograde in the sign of the bull, Taurus. Yep that explains it. A planet is in retrograde when it appears to be moving backward through the Zodiac. Mercury rules thinking and perception, education and transportation, creates glitches and breakdowns in phones, computers, cars etc. Mercury's retro phase is thought to bring unforeseen changes and blockages, aggravations and frustration. I can attest to that.

It will be interesting to see what today brings. I will try to face it with patience and humor knowing now that there are universal forces at play.
