Hard day at the Port today. Swells came at us out of the South breaking across the bar at 4 feet every few seconds making it a hazardous crossing. Playing it safe the guys turned around only to infuriate a very obnoxious group of fishermen who think a morning beverage should contain 16 oz. of malted barley, hops, fermented yeast and reeked of . . . well whatever. Fishing is a sport of patience. Tolerance with weather conditions is a must. Good fishermen know that anything . . . and nothing can happen. It is ruined by these bullies that come here expecting a flat ocean, abundant and large sized ling cod limits and are not satisfied with anything else. Their lives must be very sad and filled with disappointments. Well tomorrow is another day and better conditions are expected. Hopefully I will have happier news to share.
